Parsha Ki Teitzei - 60 second video sermon

The Rambam, in his Laws of Repentance, says that Yom Kippur attones for sins between us and God, but that things that go wrong between humans can only be fixed by us. We need to right the wrongdoing and ask for forgiveness until it is granted.

This week's parasha, ostensibly speaking about the laws of returning lost objects, gives us the hint that THIS week is the one to think about teshuva with other people. הָשֵׁב תְּשִׁיבֵם לְאָחִיךָ -

"you shall surely return to your fellow"

could easily be glossed

"you shall surely do teshuva with your fellow".

Don't wait until the day before Yom Kippur - this is the time to get on it and fix what we can fix.
